It was a year of milestones and memories. Jen turned 40, Broch turned 3. Dave got even older. In February we went to Florida to visit with Opa (Dave’s Grandfather), Susan (Dave’s Mom), Uncle Nick and Norma Kaye. It was fulfilling to have the opportunity to visit with Opa - cherished in our hearts all the more as Opa passed away in March at the age of 101. While we were sad to lose him, he will always remain an inspiration to us.
It was a year of rockets, race cars and sandy shores. Broch became the youngest member of the Austin Area Rocketry Group, and then the youngest racing study with Bill Dollahite as Dave and Broch each started driving Karts. Besides driving, Broch loves water and we indulged that as much as possible with beach trips on the Mediterranean, Carribean, the Gulf Coast and the Atlantic Coast.
In the fall Broch began attending Montessori school, 3 blocks from Dave’s office. He is extremely active, talkative and outgoing - the boy has “never met a stranger”. He loves cars, truck, trains and painting. He attends “Music Together” classes with Jen every week and a pre-school gymnastics class called Junior Jumpers that is held at Jen’s gym.
We don’t stay in touch with all of you as well as we would like. Please forgive us and just picture us running after a little man with a rocket motor in his hand. As we mention every year, we welcome visitors at any time of year, and promise to find some activity to entertain you if you’ll come visit.
Much love, The Evans Family
